Consider what you want to test and think about what is important for you to explore and experience on your test drive.

  • Safety might be the most important feature you are looking for. Ask about drive safety from ESP (the Electronic Stabilisation Programme) to Park Assist. The Golf has Isofix child seat fittings on all models. The Golf also comes with one year free roadside assistance as standard. For us, your safety is not just in the physical build quality of the car.
  • Low emissions could be a big concern of yours - ask about the clean and efficient engines of the Golf and especially the BlueMotion technologies now available on this model. The BlueMotion Golf is exempt from London's congestion charge - don't fall off your chair.
  • The interior is full of lovely comfort details from the smell of the leather (available on most models) to a simple seat folding solution that turns this not so small car into a really big useful space. This is the quietest Golf we have ever made but the radio and entertainment sound system are best tested with the doors shut and the windows up.
  • The exterior style and build of the Golf is far and beyond what you might expect; this car is built and designed for drivers. The Golf has great design lines and the famous Volkswagen grille. And you must open and shut the Golf door in a quiet place to appreciate the quality sound of a Golf door closing.
  • Performance as standard they say for a Golf. This car comes from a family of famous performance models. Don't forget, the GTI, GTD and R heritage is rich. The Golf has a vast range of engines and gearboxes. You might be surprised by trying something you didn't plan to try.
    • Remember this test drive is for you to find the right car for you. Ask as many questions as you want, prepare them beforehand, but most of all enjoy the drive.
